I found the same results. 60MPH seems to be a nice sweet spot for me. going up to 65 or 70 and it just starts doping fast

Yea It sucks doesn't it. LOL

I have 2 that I use for work and they ride down the highway ALL day and It's hard to go that speed when your 1,000 miles from home and trying to get back. sometimes I'm willing to spend the extra money lol and other days when I'm bored I am more like this.

Between the whistle of the Procharger and the random imports on the hwy that think they are badass it's tough to keep cruise control on

Best I ever got in the old H/C 5.3 single cab was 22.5 that was straight hwy driving and 70-75mph. Also with a 4/7 drop.

These trucks do decent on the hwy but in town is what kills us. Can't have your cake and eat it too i guess

I care about mpg. With a commute of 108 miles minimum/day that is 90% interstate, I do my best to squeeze the mileage out of that gas. I've done interstate mileage tests in all 3 of our cars. The best I've come up with (without drafting any semis):

Impala V6: 33.4 mpg
Silverado 5.3L: 24.7 mpg
Corvette 6.2L: 30.1 mpg

It is REALLY hard to do 65mph when everyone is flying by @ 80

I could get 33mpg @ 80mph in my old 95 Z28, but it only got 28mpg @ 65mph. Unfortunately, none of the current vehicles do it that way.

That's pretty good mileage out of all three.
I can only get about 17 out of my gas hog Yukon (up to about 80).
The Jetta gets 47+ pretty much no matter what.
I average 25 in my Corvette because I can't seem to drive it easy. I've gotten a best of 31.6 all highway but that's a rare trip for me and that car.
