I don't think 8 times a day doesn't even come close for me. Probably why I get 6.5 mpg.

Most every time I enter the interstate usually level at 75-80 mph. that's when I catch third. I also get lane choice from traffic lights 99% of the time.

I put 8 times a week but I don't really keep an accurate count. Once in a while I just stop in an area with no traffic and do a burnout. If the road's a little wet it is fun to feel the rear try to pass the front. Really never lit the rears up as much as I do with this truck. The G-Tech needs a little exercise every once in a while or it gets upset from being in the drawer.
