Default How much is this truck worth? 2000 Silverado Z71

Thinking about picking up my friend's truck for $3500. Needs front axles replaced, $150 at local yard, and pitman and idler arms, $100 for Moog. And obviously a good wash (paint is fine, it's just that dirty).

What do you think fair retail price for this truck would be once I fix it and get it cleaned up?

Specs:
2000 Silverado Z71, fair condition
5.3 v8
120k miles
Cloth seats, fair interior
Aftermarket headunit
Grill guard and ranch hand rear bumper
4" lift with 33's, good tread
New inner and outer tie rods, Moog
New spark plugs
No dents
No accidents

Depends on your area but I would say its a 5-6k truck at least. I would think the 4x4 would make it worth a few extra.

Not sure your area but an "01 Yukon Denali books for 6500. This truck at least in my area is a $4000 on the top end. Especially lifted, lifted/lowered usually means the price goes down.

I would say you could buy it put $200 into and your time and pray to make $700. I wouldn't pay a penny more then $3000 and would love it for less.

Thanks guys. Texas is a good market for trucks, and rust isn't a problem, but I wanted to check with y'all to make sure I wasn't being a bit high with my price estimates.

I'm going to take a closer look at it today after work. I'll post up with anything I find. But overall, I think it just needs a good cleaning inside and out, aside from the axles and steering stuff. Worst case, I don't think I would have any trouble getting my money back out at about $4000, but I'm hoping I can find a high schooler or college guy with dad's money to pick it up for $7-8k

Didn't get a chance today, had to work late. It'll be Monday before I can check it out and maybe drive it home.

Checked it out yesterday. Seems solid, interior is good, with just some scratches on the dash. Definitely needs a good vacuuming and carpet shampoo but nothing major, no rips, burns or tears, headliner is good, ac blows cold, windows and locks work. Offered $3800 out the door with tt&l. He said he'll get back to me on Monday when his boss is in.

I'll post up pics if I buy it, but planning to.
