Like he said apple has great products. Go to apple.com and watch the videos of all the upcoming technology they have coming out. They are truly revolutionizing the industry not only hardware wise but also software.
You're quite the Apple geek, Brandon.
Steve Jobs is steppin down, & from I've heard, he puts the user friendly into Apple products.

While I've a Droid X, unlike Derrick who has an iPhone, I use my Droid whenever I'm not at home, & even when I am sometimes if my bro is on desktop. I was gonna buy an iPhone4 back when they announced in Feb., but Verizon guy talked me out of it, "said only 15% of apps on iPhone are free," w/. Droid that isn't the case. That was all I had to hear really. Last yr., my 18 yr. old nephew got an iTouch & I liked it, so I received 1 for a Bday present. But then, in Feb I got the Droid, & the iTouch sat for a month. The Touch takes great pics, & when my Droid went while on vaca in Miami & the Keys, I relied on Touch for pics. And they're better res too.

In fact use my phone for checkin on little stuff instead of desktop pretty much since I got the phone. But some things, like browsing on PT suck cause I gotta slide, side - side to read it. So for that, an iPad would be better for me, way easier to read in that instance.

I member when my bro-law showed me his netbook, I said what's that? I thought that lil screen was useless for me, cause I wanted to see it.

So now what looks really cool & has since I've had my iTouch, the iPad of course. Just a bigger netbook.

I've wanted a laptop for a long time for HPTuners mostly. I live w/. my bro, but he lets me use his desk - or laptop. I still want a laptop tho.

If I had to do it all over again, I think I woulda gotten an iPhone instead of the Droid, maybe. If I never got the iTouch as a gift, I'd most likely have the Droid, & then snagged an iPad. I guess now, it'd be an iP2.

If she is doing alot of business type/networking I would go with a windows based set up, as MAC/Apple are more of a personal, not networking type set up.. None the less the pad is like a big freaking cell phone, other then being able to talk on it like a cell you can make calls to other people with them( ipads). You get all the apps you can get on a smart phone, more.. So all in all, for not being big into apple, they hit a home run on this pig..
Interesting perspective John comparison wise. I don't need anything for biz, just PT, browsing web, & HPTuners. That's mostly what I do, 95% of the time. And if tune is right, HPT would be used, but not a whole lot, I just want it to be screaming fast whenever I hop on. I also have a lot of pics I download of off computer. So your info & others helps me.

From what I've heard Apple is like Sony, propietary. That bugs me, but they've got some trick products.

Have a couple friends that picked them up and love them. They are great for planes and can do a lot of things you can on a laptop unless it's something really technical.

I picked up an Android tablet (Motorola XOOM) and loved it for the week I had it till my puppy decided it would make a great chew toy and bit through the upper left corner.

I'd love one, but if I'm gonna buy a tablet I'm getting one that will run HPTuners. That'd just be the cat's ***.

Ive seen Bluetooth computer scanners that will sync to your phone so I am sure this could be done. Would be awesome to control it with the iPad or a smart phone.

Nah I was thinking something different. There is a app for smart phones that will read engine codes. You plug this little device into your vehicles OBD port under the dash and then connect to it with bluetooth.

Found it.. something like this.
Amazon.com: Soliport ELM 327 Bluetooth OBDII OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner, ELM327 wireless OBD 2 Scan tool check Engine Light CAR CODE READER: Electronics

But if they ever made HP Tuners for an iPad or tablet or even a smart phone that would be badass. Just link those two with bluetooth and you always have then option to tweak your tune or check codes. Carrying a smartphone would be a lot less hassle than always having a laptop with you

I'd love to have somethin like that!!!

Tweakin tune or codes from my Droid will accomplish a few things: Gets job done, & namely what u said. Less spce consumed & 1 less thing in truck. You know you're gonna have your phone anyway, but a laptop is strictly in truck for tuning. And it just adds weight.

I'm always paranoid when goin to track w/. my brother's laptop.
