Default How do you like your LS1 f-body?

I want to buy another car to use as a daily driver...never been a huge fan of f-bodies (cheap interior feel plus the fact that everybody and their brother has a "fast" f-body), but I want something LSx powered with a 6 speed, and that's about all there is in my price range ($10k or less). Those of you who went from a truck to daily driving an f-body, what do you think? How does it compare to the truck in terms of comfort and quality?

I love my ss other than the fact that its slow as hell(stock). To me, it really is the perfect cruising/race car. The interior is really good in my car, considering its 7 years old. As far as everyday driving, I'd much rather drive the car than the truck. It makes every trip fun. When that sts goes on, its gonna be a hell of a lot more fun though.

I'm looking at refinancing the home equity loan on my house, might be able to go a little higher than 10k depending on what my broker comes back with...that brings SS's into my price range

I was looking on ebay and saw that exact car for sale. Looks like a pretty sweet ride, but I wasn't crazy about the seats being two toned. Other than that, it looks really good.

now now.....SlowPro is not telling the whole truth. The reason his car is SO much more comfortable is he has alterd his truck a bit...no sway bar, cut springs racing seats...oh did I mention the roll cage I have never seen his car but I would bet its a bit better driver than Dirty.

It's not a real 35th anniversary or a real SS unfortunately - looks like a Z28 that someone fixed up. If the price is right it's not a bad deal though. I'm keeping my eye on that one....

I'm getting tired of filling the truck up every other day. I don't pay for gas (benefit of having a company owned vehicle LOL), but it's still pretty wasteful. I added up my gas receipts for March and it was about $900.

Plus, my GF has a 5 speed Mustang GT and I really miss driving stick...
