Oh I've been a GM boy- actually still am. Have a 63 Corvette Conv that my grandma will let me work on but won't sign over to me, Just sold a 23 T bucket with a built sbc that my dad, son and I built and bought a 71 Cutlass conv. to start on next. I love General Motors products- so much easier to build with so much more aftermarket support - and my Grandpa wouldn't let me have anything but GM until right before he passed. Heck- my everyday beater is a 1990 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham (Gold Key Edition )

As for calling people out on me- no need. I'm just having fun. I'd love to meet up with you guys and run. To be honest we're hoping for high 11's when I get her in the next few weeks and we're not sure once we crack the motor open. Still trying to find a forged crank and some worthwhile rods. I hear Manley will have a 800hp Ibeam forged rod out very soon. Just not soon enuff- I need it now and I know it won't be that soon. That's the only reason we're doing a 2 part build.

High 11s would be awesome. As for Blacksheep....don't worry about him. After hearing Randy talk of his setup.....he'll be getting picked on alot by every other brand truck.

don't take ranwalks 12.3 lightly. he has mid 11's in that truck. little more suspension tweaking and a track that will hook and he will see the numbers that he is capable of running.

as for me. i get slower each and everytime i add a mod. i added a nitrous kit and ran slower than i was n/a. i add slicks and i spin. a cam, i have some of those too.

I know how you feel..... I was running the times on my sig with a 2.09 - 2.10s 60's when I was lucky, leaving the line at idle and a slow feather off the line, no consistancy what so ever.... sooooo 305/45/18 Nitto Drag Radials and guess what.... leave the line @ 1800+ no spin and 2.10 60's ????????? WTF.... only thing I could figure was the additional weight of the slicks and my truck just was not generating the torque down low to get off the line any quicker.... Bummer
Ah well..... some day more money... the cure all...

oh I'm not taking anyone lightly- heck I'm not even sure what my truck will run this first time it comes out of the shop. Based on the build and what we're doing 11's is where we "should" be. Not saying it WILL be.

And MrDestinE
I hope the slicks make a difference for me. I bought a pair of ET Streets and a pair of M&H Racemasters. They are different sizes- ET's for the 1/8th and the M&H for the 1/4 - if they make that much of a difference. If not, I'll sell a pair and order 2 pistons

MrDestinE, ur 60' prob slowing down cause ur stalling it so high. stall it at 1K no higher than 1200 other wise its gonna pull some mad power half of your 1st gear. i know i've tried this out. try leaving from 1000 and just gunning it. should be a little better unless u get a higher stall then it will be better.

On another note i'll be more than happy to travel with Colt to run a few of you guys. don't let the 2 extra doors fool ya. she's pretty fast for being a fatty. guess its time to break out some more credit cards.

Colt, i think ima try out 1 cam before i put in the 220. ha ha u know which 1 i'm talking abt troy's got a good deal on it and well it will help a little until next year. got my chrismast list ready also

That SRT-10 guy over there is a tool he just doesnt understand the fact that he paid way too much for what he got and I will be ahead by 22 grand and be faster and be able to have a useful truck that can tow and carry 5 people.

the most common things that people over look at is what else goes into the truck beside what they can on the track. those trucks are pretty well rounded and are pretty much alot diff than a regular ram. they are good looking trucks but i wouldn't want one. had my chance to get one of them 3 times and i'm passing another as we speak.

It looks like the SRT guys are going to be worse than the dodge guys that have "HEMI fever". Just for the record guys I have nothing against any make or model owner just the guys that think their truck is god and proceed to tell everyone that they have ****.
