Ok here is the deal. I got a car about a year ago for my wife. The car was gutted to be used as a race car. It belonged to a lady that took it to get fixed. She decided the price to repair was not worth the car. So she let the shop keep it. The shop owner gave it to a friend that inturn stripped the car for build. It was a father son project, but when the father died became an eye sore for the son. He sold the motor to my friend and told us to take the car too. Since then I have rebuilt the whole thing with my wife. Now it's ready to drive and I can't seem to get the info for the lady who owned it to begone with. The tittle was never transfered. The day I got the car I ran the vin through local police to verify it's legality. The vin comes back "sold" buy does not say who. I ask for the lady's info but of course they can't give it out. So, does any body know how to get the info or have the ability to do so? Pm me if need be I understand.

If I can't get the tittle I just need a clunker car with clear tittle and I'll swap dashes for vin. So if anybody has a 92-95 civic hatch that needs gitten rid of let me know. The car is for my wife to drive and get awesome mileage and to stop racking up the miles on the turbhoe. Thanks for any help!

 

I think you can file for lost title. Or say you only have a bill of sale. Then you have to wait to make sure no one comes and claims it.

 

If you wanna pay the 50 bucks for a Carfax report, won't it tell you the names of all the owners?

 

If I was in arkansas I could do a bonded tittle. If I do a lost tittle all paper work goes to her plus she has to apply for it. I've heard yes carfax will and no it won't. So I don't know.

 

This sucks cause I did a clean 5spd conversion, a Gsr master cyl/brake booster conversion and a 97 ex font disc/spindle conversion. So it will stop the 2000lb car like a champ. And some nice go with my old b16a. It's no turbo tahoe but should sip gas and run nice. And it's gonna be quiet with the biggest magnaflow muffler I can fit lol. No bumble bees for this car. Lmao.
