Yep.
I did my first jump, tandem in St Louis. I was hooked. Man...it is awesome. Came home signed up for AFF (accelerated free fall). You jump by youself with two instructors for a few jumps then you get one instructor until the 7th jump. On the 7th jump you have to pass a few tests and then that's it. As long as you jump jump once a month you won't need an instructor to recertify. You aren't "licensed" yet, but as long as the wind is under 14mph (maybe it was 16) you are allowed to jump. I did it another 10 times by myself. It was a hassel with having an actual work life and I was just meeting my now wife back then. So, it died and went away. LOL But man it fuggin rocks. Standing on that ledge...just staring at the earth. Not the ground, but the earth. It is an amazing event that you at least have to try tandem.
I have a helmet and altimeter if you want to borrow them.
Actually they make you use their helmets so they can identify "students" in the air.

+1 on wanting to jump out of a perfectly good air craft! My neighbor did it with his wife. The video and pictures were hilarious. The look on their faces were priceless. How about a PTN GTG jump?
