Be careful on the 99-02 body style trucks, the facets in the headlight housing distort the light and will blind other drivers and if you get pulled over you have an even bigger chance of getting a ticket for them. There are some quality clear housings on ebay for 88 shipped that you should get too. 4300 is natural light so theyre not yellow, the yellow ones are the 3K fogs. 4300 is the most light output you can get, any higher and its just for color. I ran 6Ks in my Dmax and loved them, especially with the all on mod, those suckers put out some light with the lows, highs and high bulbs in the fogs

I get a little (I think) in the 4runner but the radio stations up here suck anyway, its only on one station and it did that before, just seems like it happens a little more often, or im just paying attention to it more

Good info, I was getting all jacked up about $40 HID's...good to know that they may not work well in my truck. I was actually thinking about my mom's Toyota Solara, which I first have to work and buff the lenses which are fogged and yellow, then I wanted to hook her up with some brighter light, especially since she lives in an over 55 community and that place practically shuts down at 6:00 pm...pitch black at dinner time in the winter

I can sit in my truck with a station on and turn on the headlights with a little fuzz, then turn the fogs on also and completely lose the station. usually thats just out of town stations, so with both on i can only get local strong broadcasting stations..
Ive got the slim balasts tho, dont know if that makes a difference?
but who still listens to the radio anyway..?

90% of my listening is out-of-town FM stations. there's only 1 that i listen to that comes from here. the rest are from nashville or cookeville. since i shaved my antenna, a couple of them barely pick up any more, so i'd rather not lose more reception

Im not a betting man, but i would bet you will lose some more stations(or at least hinder their reception) with hids. I had them on my last truck which was a dodge and also had some similar experiences with reception loss..
