I keep two pairs in my truck at all times, i learned the hard way also, but not with metal. I was under my truck spraying lithium grease on stuff cause i had an annoying squeak, well being a dumbass and gravity the way it is, a big huge drop of it came down and landed directly in my eye before i could close it. Like slow motion, i could see it coming but couldnt close my eye fast enough. luckly enough i had a bottle of water in my truck and got out from under the truck the quickest i ever have and grabbed it and washed it out, eye stayed red for almost two days.. If you have the good ones after awhile you dont even notice u have em on unless they fog up, plus i dont like the dentist drill so i cant imagine having that done

I had my drilled also.Got some metal in my eye around 10:00am didn't feel it till 4:00pm.The pain started to kick in real good.Luckly my wifes sister works for an optomatrist. They got me in that day drilled my eye everything went fine except the metal was withn a 1mm of my line of site.I had setup 4 more visits for them to get the rust out.Everything went great for 3 visits on the last visit I got the older timer with the shakes (fukin awesome)i am thinking.Since it was my last visit and they told me there wasn't much left I rolled with it (bad move). This ***** came at me like MIchael J fox after a weekend bender.Sob I knew that was it. I left the office with some blurred *** vision out of my right eye.It did get better but never fully recovered. Now vision out of that eye is slightly blurred enough that I was shitin bricks when I renewed my license and they had me do the eye exam.

I would have refused treatment from that doctor. Seriously, it's your vision man.

I was exagerating on the story.I didn't think it was a problem cause he pivoted his hand off my cheek so he wasn't shakin when he drilled. Also my wifes sister told me he was the best eye doctor there.
I don't know bout you but its about par for my corse to learn the hard way.
