GM says Chevy Volt will get 230mpg

america wants Big, Ugly, room for the whole family, I Feel Safe In, SUV.
the meaner the front looks, the better the sell.
how did one woman put it, todays cars look like their made out of tin foil when their in a wreck, how can i feel safe in tin foil.
i love the specs in the artical, 230 mpg and a 300 mile range, should tell you how big your gas tank is.
it is sad day when your lawn mower takes more fuel then your car to mow your yard.

People don't seem to understand that new cars are designed with energy dissipative body panels and chassis members that reduce the amount of force exerted upon the occupants in the event of a crash. Although it cost's alot more to repair than an old steel boat would, you also are more likely to come out alive, or without serious injury.

As I said in my previous post, 230 MPG City when driven for a maximum of 51 miles per recharge. That would be 4.52~ recharges of it's batteries to get that figure, as well as not in continuous driving. On the generator alone it gets roughly 50 MPG, so that 300 mile range would be (300-40(if starting out with a full charge)) = 260/50 MPG = 5.2 gallon fuel tank.

ok, i understand what your saying, but im gona be like every dumbass american that shows up on the lot to buy one.
this car gets 230 miles per gallon, if i drive it all day long it better get 230 miles on one gallon of gas, if i take it out on a road trip, i better get from houston to auston on one gallon of gas.
so when is the turbo model going to come out.

, unfortunately GM chose to use their fuzzy ideology to promote the Volt.
