I have had good luck with him, I know my last cam that I got from the time he got the specs from PatG I had the cam in like 2wks and thats including him getting it back after being ground to run on the cam doctor.
Of course this was last year so they may be slammed now.

Yea, I'm sure that Geoff's lobes are probably worth a little more than the XER's, but I doubt that the gains are incredible. I'm also sure that you'll have your cam in way before me...the shelf 224/230 is ground on a 114, I was thinking of having it custom ground on a 112 with a 110 ICL. What about you Corey?
I was talking to a buddy today about cams. Seems like the new trend is bigger lobes bigger durations higher overlap etc. The dyno numbers with the new cams are improving. But the funny thing is people are not going faster.
After saying that i will keep with my small cam for awhile.

If i did do it i would get 114+5. But i i have no idea when and if i will do it. By then some new flavor of the week lobe will be popular.

I think someone has been saying big cams arent all that great for quite a while
If Lance can run 12.30s on a little 220 cam on a stock intake and heads and it takes a h/c/i 5.3 with a much bigger cam to get that 11.99 Id say that "little" cam worked just fine.

I just like the big cam sound lol
It all depends on your setup I suppose.. When you have bigger everything you can run a bigger cam but when your on basically a stock engine a smaller mild cam will do just as good as a huge cam just may not sound the same

You get to a point of diminishing returns IMO...

is that what your wife told you cody? haha JFWY, but 12.30 to 11.99 is a big drop in time. especially with a 5.3. i think lance could benifit from a slightly larger cam. nothing outrageous, but there are cams that play a little better with the nitrous and will still give a bump N/A too.

I was just informed of this thread and feel the need to make a few comments:
I am a one man show. At this point I feel that I am providing good customer service in the fact that I am actually helping customers fit their cam needs to the application rather than just acting like some used car salesman trying to push either the biggest cam out there or what they happen to have sitting on the shelf or selling designs that are just rip off copies of other peoples designs. Anyone who has actually talked to me on the phone knows I spend a lot of time explaining choices and how things work, so that when you buy from me you know you are getting the right cam that will work right the first time.
I am also upfront about the lead time. Part of my lead time is due to the fact that I work alone. I have recently added some part time help to help get things moving faster. Also if there is a rush involved I can expedite said orders as fast as anyone. If anyone has any questions about with their order with me, please pick up the phone, and I will be glad to help.
