im running Yukon gears with a .004" back lash. GM calls for .003"-.008"
plus it says no hard launches, it doesnt say anything about being in 2nd gear and pulling it from 55-70 at 1/2 throttle
i love the way the truck moves now

a guy Truckshop knows, i helped, its not hard to do. if i have a press and a few other tools i could do it in the front yard. also when i get the tools needed for stuff like that i will start installing gears myself.

i think the 3:73s with a 3600 converter would best, but im not willing to DD a 3600 so i went 4:10s an maybe a 3400 converter like Truckshop. his truck is INSANELY fast for a DD/Family ride

i got 60 miles or so on it before i got home, does that count?
i installed em, drove to Truckshops house, sat there for an hr almost, drove 35 min home, it sat for an hour, then went to walmart with the fiance, it sat another hour, then we got in a 55 punch with a camaro SS 6.2/6spd as he tried a ricer fly by. keyword, Tried
its got about 110-125miles on it now

my in city picked up from 14.5 to 15.9 and my highway went from 19.3 to 18-18.2 at 70-75. i run a 265/70/17, ill be swapping to a 275/60/17 unless i go DRs then i may really need the 3:73s vs 4:10s

if they were setup correctly you shouldnt have any issues i put less than 60 miles on mine before launching the truck 4 times at the track then changed the gear oil and checked things out and all looks good!!

my heat cycles are between track runs lol
