Went out and bought it, says I have to update my xbox in order to play it. How do I do that? I was looking around on the internet and there is a wireless adapter but from what Ive read I can get a regular usb wireless adapter and it will do the same thing for half the price.

So I plug the wireless network adapter in and it will automatically work? Once I get it hooked up to my wireless network do I just go to the start screen and click on an update tab or something?

All Ive ever done is put games in it and play, never done the xbox live thing, I know Im behind the times

What operating system?

Hook a ethernet cord from the xbox to the laptop, and go to network and sharing center control panel deal.

right click the wireless connection

hit properties, find 'sharing', and check off 'share this internet connection'

it'll work, you may have to go back to the dashboard and test the connection for it to pick it up.

i'm doing this off memory...i run w7 but on my macbook so it may be different from vista or xp, just post back with your options if you can't figure it out.

Vista

Ill be buying a macbook pro soon, I need to look into this running a MS OS on a mac. That sounds about like what Id like, I like the MS OS just not all the virus BS.

Ill probably just end up running a dedicated usb network adapter so I dont have to deal with even more cords.

Choose Start->Control Panel. Open Network. At the top, click "Network and Sharing Center." At left, click "Manage network connections."

Right-click the icon of the network connection you want to share. From the shortcut menu, choose Properties. Authenticate yourself, and then click the Sharing tab. Finally, turn on "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection," and click OK.

what exactly is a 5.0 cammer? Is it just a 5.0 with a cam? Or is it an actual popular package that they sell in real life?
