Yup. After years of drag racing on back roads/ empty stoplights late at night, cop finally got me. All I can say is I deserved it. I'm done now.

Anyways, my buddy was next to me, and wanted to go, but I resisted for quite a while. He punched it and so did I, and the L31 just took off and romped his ***. I won, but the Sheriff got me, and he ran. Anyways, it was a cop I've known since I was 3-4 years old. He looked at me, at my ID, and said, what are you doing these days. He threw me back my insurance, and said, I'm going to give you a choice. I can write you a speeding ticket, or I can give you a racing ticket. I chose speeding. He let me off with a 41 in a 40. So, I owe the county/city $123, but that's better than getting my beast impounded.

So children, take it from me, do NOT start/do any street racing.

Yea i got pulled over bougt a year ago racing a friend after work. 106 in a 55 first time ive ever been showed the radar gun an the only reason i didnt go to jail is becouse it was 4:30 in the morning an there wasnt anyone else one the road. Really sucks

 

$123 for 1mph over the speed limit? That's rediculous. I know you weren't actually only going 1mph over, but still. The fact that they can hand out a $123 ticket for going 1 mph over posted speed limits there is completely absurd.

 

i dont know about the dakota's, but here in florida they cant give you a speeding ticket unless you were going 10 mph or more over the limit.

 

not true. fl writes for 1 to 9 mph. its the same fine.

and ya i got out of the street scene before i got caught. thank god lol. the urge bites all the time.

98% of the $123 is court costs. It's prob like $120 for the court cost and $3 for every mile an hour your over the limit. It does suck , but that's how they do it now.

 

atleast the cop that stop you was prety cool about it, I heard cop in the states are no joke.Here in puerto rico I been driving for over 3 years with out a lincens and got over $5,000 in tiketes and everythime a cop stops me they tell me the gona give me a break, and proces to tell me that he could take me to court. But they ony give me a speeding tiket and window tint tiket, that wath there loking for here.
