In my truck I ran the wire over to the glove box and keep the ipod in that little pocket on the left. I can control the ipod through my radio. What kind of radio do you have?

They make a cradle that sits in your cup holder. You are limited to the FM modulator with the stock radio. They make cradles that plug in to the cigarette lighter so it will keep it charged, cradle it and broadcast on whatever FM frequency you want.

In the end FM modulators are NOWHERE close to cd quality. Hell, even if you had an ipod hardwired to your truck you'd have to download 320 kb/sec songs for it to sound like a cd and in that case you could only hold 1/3 the songs you normal could.

If you have any kind of decent sound system in your truck you will notice right away that fm modulators suck.

lol, this was a situation where my old crummy stereo system in my 89 Silverado worked for me, just used the old cassette adapter, works wonderfully.
my girlfriend however didn't have that option in her little 2000 accord. she tried 2 different fm adapters, one that only attatched to the ipod and one that went from the cigarette lighter to the modulator to the ipod. the one that plugged into the cigarette lighter worked much better. As for the cradle, moving the ipod around the car helped get a better signal in some spots than others, so either an easy to move one or just toss it wherever it'll lay flat

I have an interface cable with my iPod that lets it sit in the glove box and I can run it through the deck... I have an Alpine 9856 though. charges it too
