Bought a 4S 2 months ago and the dock connector is already screwed on it. $40 later itll be fixed and will be up for sale. I was thoroughly underwhelmed with my little iphone experiment, I really dont see what the big deal is with it.

That suks .
I really like mine , the big peeve is auto correct " damned if you or don't haha"
Other than that it's good. One other thing is the smilies don't work when replying to threads here ??????- just me ?
One cool thing though is face time , my son has an iPod and he face times me at work when I'm putting in OT , I enjoy that .

The big deal is PURELY HYPE. The screen is small, the 4G doesn't exist on what you had and is 2 years late to the party, it is much more complicated to do most of the simple things people want to with there phone.
Good about the iphone is that is does operate fairly flawless. That is the only thing it has going for it. It is fragile, very low on features, and tiny. Buying the iphone and calling it a great piece of hardware is like buying a black and white TV and saying "damn this thing is reliable." They are 500 years old and have only the very basics built into them so there is nothing to go wrong with the operating system.
Now for your port being broken that is possibly the users fault but I can tell you I am hard as hell on my phone and never broken a dock port.

I've had an iPhone since they came out and won't have anything else. Id rather have a phone I can fit in my pocket and know will work when I need it to than carry a damn 5x8 picture frame around that's too big to do **** with and has glitchy *** software. I had the 3G, 3GS, 4, now a 4S, and will be getting a 5 some time early next year. I haven't had a single issue from any of mine. I carried them working construction, and at the dealership and now in the oil field all without cases and have yet to have the first broken screen or plug-in issue. It's not hype at all, they're solid phones. The OS alone should sell them.
I know it's a love/hate thing for a lot of people but I have yet to have the problems most people describe. I'd get it fixed and keep goin, what exactly happened to the outlet?

When I get some time I'll posts up my opinion of them.

As far as smilies on this forum, it might be capitalizing the first letter. Like

I have no desire to do a lot of the things android is capable of when I'm using a phone. A bigger screen and better camera would be nice. I have a 16 gig iPhone 4, not 4s.
My head unit has controls meant for iPhone and the iPhone pandora app. USB and other types of phones with memory cards are a bitch unless files are well named and organized.
