Diesel has more energy potential then gas. Diesel typically weighs about 7.1 pounds per US gallon (850 g per liter), whereas gasoline weighs about 6.0 pounds per US gallon (720 g per liter), or about 15% less. Diesel typically has about 147,000 BTUs per US gallon (40.9 MJ per liter), whereas gasoline has 125,000 BTUs per US gallon (34.8 MJ per liter), also about 15% less.

Diesel has tons of potential and most folks don't realize it so don't feel that way.

Besides, big oil screws us both at the pump either way....

Looked into bio diesel? supposed to be way cheap and easy to make, and it kinda makes trucks exhaust smell like french fries.
