I remember during Northridge my Grandmother was visiting my parents in Manhattan Beach. The quake hit, and my Mom ran downstairs to check on my Grandmother. She was in the middle of the hall on her knees, praying the Hail Mary.
That's enough for a 70-something yr old woman from PA.
I was in Belmont Shores (Long Beach). The wave hit so hard, it shot the hair dryer plug out of the socket while I was driving my hair. Visibility on the roads out of LB 0%.
