kinda sad that 1100 students at a high school will step up to give blood when people that are already upstanding good people make excuses to not come out

^ hahaha true. But only for 1 period, or 2 if youre giving double / pass out
But not like any teacher planned to do anything that day anyways... we had some dumb standardized test, and everyone gives blood anyways so, no real school happening anyways

Approaching the 5gal club here. I am also on the bone marrow registry however have not received a call...yet. Kind of scared about that one, not a plesent donation by any means.

My wife is a phlembotimist aka the vampire that takes yours blood. She's had people pass out, vomit, urinate and crap their pants while in her care. The people that have reactions like that, its all in their head. I donate when I can but I generally get light headed as soon as the needle is pulled out .

Yeah, Im not sure if people did marrow or not at the school, but I know there are variations.

Dirt track racer: I felt light headed after walking over to the rest area and sitting down, got pretty hot for whatever reason and had to be cooled off

They didn't do marrow... it's kinda a big deal. Extremely painful.

I've never had a problem, usually I just hop out of the chair/seat whatever they're called, of course I'm a big guy, and probably have extra blood.
