I am almost pos they have a switch in them that you can switch them from fwd to rwd to awd if ya want..

I thought the sti could bias the power front to rear, not sure if they can completely disengage the front.

I read a thread where a guy disabled the awd on an evo so he could run on a 2wd dyno. It seems like he just had to pull a fuse but I'm not %100 sure about that, it was a while ago I read it.

Yeah, this is the case. There's always a percentage to something (front or rear) but they can shift the percentages.

Just talked to my buddy, he says it can be switched from awd to rwd to fwd... Hmmmm I am gonna try em out in the rwd if thats the case
