You don't need another truck, but the wise person would pay off all his debt, like your doing and get your *** into a house. the way the housing market is and the cost of houses down in that area of the country you can have a mortgage that's the same as any potential new car payment. Dedicate yourself to drive a cam only Z71 for 3 years and I guarantee you that you'll be a house within two. After that you'll have all the space and room and finiancial liberty to build whatever you want.

Honestly guys, id love to get a house but Im in construction and the market has my paychecks all screwed up, so Im very hesitant to bite off a mortgage. I may be getting put on one of our big highway projects that will last 3-4 years. So if that happens Ill probably get one.

Ive got til March to make the decision as thats when ill be totally out of debt then be able to make a move one way or the other.

Found out today that I will be put in charge effective Monday at 7am, of all soils inspections for the SH130 section 5&6 project(41 miles). To be truthfull I didnt think they would put my 23 year old *** in charge of the 120ish million dollar piece of the contract pie for soils work, but it does make it look like they plan on moving me up to the Project Managers position Ive been wanting after I get through with this toll road, by that time I will have been with the company a little over 7 years and have my Prohect Management degree so...

This project will net me 39 months of consistant paychecks, along with my certifications that I got since last pay raise cycle should net me a nice increase in pay. Later this year I just might be able to make a move for a house, at the very least a couple acres of land

By the time you get around to buying one I'll be tired of it anyways and looking to get a new one.

 

Follow the bouncing ball Julien, my company put me on a long term project, now I have dependable income, now I can buy a house after I get some stuff paid off.

A bike will be the first thing I purchase after getting my other debts paid off so you wont have to give me yours when I buy my house.
