Default demod and selling question

I'm sure a lot of you guys have thought of this. I've came across some stock parts. I have a lot of stock parts left from my truck but with this deal I'd have most of the stuff needed to put it back to stock. I've ponder this before but I'm putting more and more thought into it. What keeps you guys from doing this? I don't drive it as often as I should and sometimes it puts stress on my marriage. I'm sure my wife would like to see it go but I'd miss it I bet!

I'd have a **** ton of parts to sell but I'm not sure I'd let the engine go! It's hard to sell engines and I've always wanted a Camaro.

Demoding usually takes alot of time and effort, and when most people make up their mind to sell they are ready to just move on and not mess with it anymore and sell as is even if it means losing some cash. But at a certain point of being heavily $$$ modified (like yourself) it makes sense to return it back to stock imo because you can get some money back on parts and a stock truck which will sell easier. And being too modified to a certain extent can hurt resale.. It usually takes the "perfect" buyer that wants what you have done to make any of the money back youve put in, which is rare..
Also you mention not selling the engine and a camaro, whats the difference between a truck and car project? nothing in the eyes of a married female thats what..
You would be better off keeping what you have if you think there will be selling regret and quit spending money over starting a new project when talking marriage and money stress..

But seriously, he's right on all counts.

A perfect buyer buyer on a modded truck or car; a motorcycle, that's different.

I love the part about, "nothing in the eyes of a married female".

If u lose $ on your modded truck when u sell it to mod another & repeat if u sell that, your wife might lose her mind. I mod vehicles cause it's my hobby & a source of fun, not whether I win or lose when I go to sell. Then again, I also hang onto my stuff.

I'm probably just going to keep it. Everything I did was done first class so I hate to give away everything including a ton of time I've spent on it. I'm sure I'd regret it later anyway.
