Considering shaving fuel door-suggestions on how to route filler?
Hopefully I'll be doing some horse tradin soon and having a members gas door and 3rd brake light shaved in exchange for some headers, and I figured I might do mine too.
he is using a fuel cell now, I'm still using my stock location lol. Future plans for my bed include a bedrug and possible battery location/soft tonneau.....and I was wondering if I just cut a hole in the bed could I just rotate that gas filler neck 180* to fit in the bed. I guess I might have to get another hose as the facto one is shaped and pretty f'in stiff.
Another Idea I had was to just cut a hole in the bottom of the bed above and close to where the fill hose comes out of the tank, and just mold in a stock gas door from a late model car or something. Then route a hose directly from the hole in the bed to the tank. Then when you need to fill up just flip the door up and pull the cap and voila.
Anyone ever seen this done? It doesnt seem as hard as it sounds......

I have seen the stock doors flipped around on the inside of the bed and it looks really nice. Just cut the hose and replace it with a flexible piece and you're in business. Make sure the vent and ground strap are intact and operable.
Best case scenario would be to just go ahead and put a cell in it
