So I've been looking into buying a car to hotrod and have been all over the map looking at anything from cobras, ls1 cars, hot sedans, and everything in between. My fiance asked me why don't I just build another truck, not only will it be plenty fast but also useful which most performance car won't have much use once we have a child or practicality. I'm leaning towards the idea again because I enjoyed the sheet out of my silverado. Plenty of room, comfy, and it was kinda quick for a simple stock motor swap and few mods. I sold it because my fiance was having surgery and it had to go at the time. I'm sure I won't get a deal like I did on the last one $4,000. But I think I may even try to find a crew cab for the extra room. How much heavier is the crew over an xcab? Also I can probably get a lightning from a guy local to me , good mods, 430 rwhp, I know what he paid so I can prolly get her for under 10g. But the biggest holdback on this truck is its regular cab.

 

Oh and my 6.0 xcab ran close with that lightning. He put one truck on me from 50-100mph. Makes me wanna build another chevy.
