The girlfriend's aunt pulls up in the driveway yesterday with her new HHR that she just bought. Chrysler should be making royalties off of this car it looks so much like the PT Cruiser. Anyways, it's the first HHR sold in this area and she is pretty damn proud of it. It's a grayish-purple LT model and I think it has every option that you can get (auto tranny, sunroof, heated leather, XM, onstar, nice chrome 17's). The GF jumps behind the wheel and we take off. The first thing she says is, "This thing doesn't have any power!", LMAO!! She is used to driving her supercharged GTP I guess. We drive around in the city a bit and it rides smooth and can turn on a dime. We switch spots and I immediately take it to the freeway. Not impressed with the 2.4 Ecotec. Had to cut off two people just to merge into the traffic, had my foot to the floor the whole time. Chevy needs a V6 or a turbo in this thing. The thing I liked best about the car was the cool looking radio & HVAC controls in the dash and the instrument cluster. Overall, it's a nice car for middle-aged women who just need a car to drive in the city. Not something I'd like to see in my driveway.

 

I am hoping not to see one on the road.

I had a PT GT 5sp that was dipping into the 12's with very minor mods......so you took offense to my post as I did to yours.....and it was really in jest.

As for your NA comments, stop the ricertalk and run what ya brung.......

 

I understand, and I dont act like that in most cases. However talking crap about other cars must be tolerated, I mean thats what prompted my post to begin with. So where is the line drawn? As long as we arent talking crap about a truck its ok? Or is it just chevy trucks we cant talk crap about?
