Im not happy either about GM having Foriegn parts on their cars either, but you can thank big brother for that.
Someone doesn't understand the concept of a global economy.

Just think, if EVERYBODY in the US ONLY bought American cars, the American companies would really have no competition. With no competition, nothing would improve.

Look at what the American companies were producing in the mid '80s to mid '90s. The VAST majority were huge piles of ****. Companies like Toyota and Honda though, were making incredibly reliable vehicles. GM, Ford, and Chrysler started losing a lot of business to foreign vehicles, so some time in the late '90s/early 2000s, quality started to improve. Now, quality wise, the American companies are very close to all of the foreign manufacturers.

If it wasn't for Toyota and Honda, GM, Ford and Chrysler would still be making piles of dogbarf like they were 20 years ago.

I don't know about you, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to drive a 1990 Cavalier.

I am no foreign sympathizer, probably wont ever own one. but supporting a company that just sends money either out of country or up to the big wigs high up, along with getting rid of the jobs here just because they are "american" doesnt make sense. And supporting a company that builds numerous plants and jobs for the middle class here in america is wrong? I think i would rather support a company that is willing to help middle class here and not mexico or canada..

I dont care where toiletyota is made, i will NEVER own one or any other foriegn name plate for that matter.
so I should be bitter to a company that provides for my family and pays my mortgage? Our toyota processing center has been the best job I have ever had, and they treat their employees very well. Im proud to work for toyota, just wish more people would realize how many Americans Toyota actually employs. We have processing centers, manufacturing plants, dealerships, truck drivers, all employed by toyota
