Cammed & tuned 4.8.. Still cant beat stock 5.3??

Well I know his doesnt have headers, cam, intake. I dont think it has been tuned since it still has the speed governor. He has told me it has a "modified" rear end but doesnt know what was done. Im assuming it has gears and a true trac since he has posi traction.

Like I said, he bought the truck the way it sits. He doesnt even know what size drop he has. The only thing he has done to it is add a sticker and vent visors

but still u should beat him my friend has a nbs ext cab 4.8 with the stock 20s his mods are

cold air intake
servo
and tune and he beat a 04 5.3 ext cab and he was on 17s he got him by a truck and a half i say u need a better tune

a stall , long tubes I can say about your tune since I dont know scuat about tunning , but like everyone has said a stall and long tubes and he wont even be a race for you , let us know how it goes

Got the transmission tuned earlier. Def feels a little faster. Hopefully ill be buying a converter within the next two weeks... Ill get a vid when we do a rematch.

The trans tune should help some, but when you get the shift kit/servo in, we can take out the transmission tq management. Can't remove all of it because the 1-2 shift will be sloppy. It's pulling a significant amount of timing on the shifts.

Trans tune also dropped your shift times and fixed it to where it should downshift much better.

Let me know how the rematch goes, but regardless we'll get a wideband on it next time I'm home and get it 100%. WOT is still pretty rich at about 12.2, due to me not having time to get it dialed in all the way. Thanks alot HP Tuners!

But your reg cab NNBS weighs about the same as a NBS ECSB. haha. New trucks are pigs. So he's probably a few hundred pounds lighter.

Thanks man.... Yeah its cool. Im just glad we got it buttoned up. Ive got the servo sittin in my room. Just have to quit being lazy and put it in. Hopefully when you get back ill have the shift kit, cooler, and servo put in and will likely have a converter. Just not sure if it will be put in by then
