Thanks everybody! Actually I'm only 79! Well, I was 9 in '79, so you do the math
I'm just shy of a year older than Tom fastnblu
Actually not so great bro, I've been in a lot of pain since Saturday night, and the doc that I saw today is a putz...the orthopedic specialist is only in on Thursdays, so hopefully I'll get some better care this Thursday. They cut the cast off today to see if maybe I was swollen and it didn't help...actually I'm hurting more now. They took some x-rays, which was stupid since my arm has been protected and immobilized in a cast for over a week, and guess what? No broken bones...go figure...duh
While the cast was off, I noticed a large bulge on my left forearm, right where the pain is coming from. When I touched it I found it to be hard as a rock, and quite painful to the touch. I tried to tell the doc about it, but he just blew me off
I'm almost wondering if I have a muscle that is twisted or locked up or something.
End result is now I definitely can't work for a few weeks
I was doing my best working with the cast and sling on for over a week, but obviously it wasn't a good idea. I really can't afford the hit of a worker's comp paycheck, but I'll have to find a way I guess. As much as it sucks, I'm still better off than if I had snapped the tendon all of the way!
