Default brake booster or master cylinder

My life is filled with brake issues at the moment.

lets start with the s10. booster or master cylinder. with truck off, I can build pressure by pumping the brake up. once started the brake drops to the floor. no peddle at all and the truck just slowly comes to a stop. I've bled the dog **** out of it. had the master cylinder off to paint the booster and did not see any fluid. the RPM fluctuates slightly when I depress the brake peddle quickly. I think booster, but the fact that I can build pressure with the truck off makes me think otherwise.

Silverado HD. it has the MC attached to the power steering. while driving down the road, if I quickly jump on the brake or tap it pretty hard, it's like the brake peddle bounces under my foot (if that makes sense). the truck stops fine, but I can press the brake peddle to the floor. i'm guessing MC, but is there something somewhere else in the system that could cause this. I've never dealt with non boosted brakes

Avalon. brake light is on. hoping it's the fluid level and new pads will get it where it belongs. they are VERY low.

RZR...brake peddle to the floor starting last night. haven't had a chance to look for a cause.

I'll be learning a lot more than I ever wanted to know about brakes here lol.

S10- Pull the master cylinder back and see if there are signes of fluid in the booster.

Im guessing it's leaking at the master cylinder and when you turn the engine on, the Vacuum is pulling fluid past the seal. The fluid could make the engine stumble.

HD- if you have access to a good scanner try the ABS bleed procedure.

AVALON- Most likely Low Fluid issue. A flush wouldn't hurt either if the fluid has changed color. Should be light yellowish.

RZR- probably needs a master as well...

Just an FYI to anyone working on the brake system's.

The fluid should always be a light yellowish color.

As it breaks down it can become more corrosive and damages the seals and hoses within the system. It turns Brown after absorbing water and breaking down in the system. This is also an indication contamination such as dirt and or the seals/rubber degrading within the system.

s10 is high and dry. it just has to be the MC though right? wouldnt a bad booster just be stiff all the time?

Yes. A Vacuum leak at the booster usually results in a stiff pedal.

I wish I had a chance to drive this truck before the 2.2 blew. surely someone wasn't driving the truck with a bad MC. when I pull it back everything is dry. maybe I should bleed it 1 last time???

I've been going l/r r/r l/f r/f.
