Choppers are cool! If it were me, I'd get the new Harley Davidson soft-tail Deluxe....although I know that isn't even close to what you have in mind. My father has a GS1150es w/ a stroker and nitrous, but also rides a Kawasaki Concours, which is a sport tourer with hard bags and all....it's really a sweet bike, and still makes a ton of power. I'm sure a good rider could bust a high 11 with one. Those bikes can be had cheap, in case in a year or so you decide a bike wasn't really what you thought it was gonna be.

Well I love the Yamaha FZ1 and have rode one they are pretty pepy to say the least. However I have rode the Yamaha V Max and it has ALOT of power about 105HP not alot for a truck but alot for a 550 lb bike. VERY VERY comfortable and are considered a "touring bike" But have a 1200cc V4 that makes them as fast as some "STOCK" 600cc sport bikes. Look in ti them might likem it?

Don't forget about the new Triumph line up. I bought a Triumph Daytona 955i last year and can't be more pleased with it. The only down side is that there are only a few companies that make aftermarket parts for them, but that is changing,

I just bought a Z1000 Monday and I love it. The only complaint I have is the seat is a pain in my ***. Pun intended. A Corbin seat will be my first mod. I've seen a couple guys on the net complain of the same thing and they said that a Corbin seat changes everything.

The FZ1 is a great bike, I have a friend that has one and he realy likes it, I tried to talk the wife into buying one but she bought a Suzuki SV1000 S which is a great bike also and is a twin cylinder which made it a little narrower and lighter and that will run an observered 165 mph. I have a 2000 Hayabusa that I bought new and it has 24K miles on it with no problems, I realy like it. My son has a GSXR 1000 which is not comfortable at all but is good for wheelies and stoppies.
