for those that don't know, you don't have to restart.

ctrl alt delete (click task manager if prompted) choose the processes tab and close out IExplorer or Firefox.

NOT EXPLORER. if you close out Explorer just go back to File / New task and type Explorer.

it doesn't do anything but bring up the task manager screen on vista... I can't remember about xp, but anyway, I was just taking a jab at the old man, LOL...
