Thumbs up Berryman Chem-Dip!

Just picked up a gallon of this stuff, Berryman Chem-Dip carburetor and parts cleaner, to clean the carbon buildup off my piston rings, Pistons, and valves before I throw this motor back together... And man this **** is awesome! Lottery 10-15 min in the solution and the Pistons, rods, and rings look brand new! I'm gonna see if they sell a five gallon bucket so I can dip heads in it!

Trust me, decades ago it was WAY more serious. EPA/whatever got to them and it's a much tamer product now. Still great, but the old stuff could eat through its own container if left long enough...

I will have to try that stuff. When I cleaned my pistons I used a coffee can (it was perfect for 6.0 piatons), and put in Gunk engine degreaser from the pump spray bottle (I swear the pump spray is a different solution than the fizz can). They came out great.
