Default Banned from dodgetalk, need opinions...

Sup everybody. I just got banned from dodgetalk.com today for literally, absolutely nothing. If anybody is a member there, they can go and read my last posts (Im VVTiSport there). I was in essence banned for owning a Toyota. Im gonna include my emails to them after being banned, and their response and Id like your honest opinions on it. I literally cant believe they banned me...

EMAIL #1
Hi, my name is Will and my sign in name is VVTiSport. I apologize if this
is my second email to you today, but I wasn't sure if the other had sent
successfully. I was able to logon to the website this morning fine, but
this afternoon it says I don't have access to that and most recently,
"Sorry. The administrator has banned your IP address." I updated my email
address yesterday and thought that might be the culprit, but Id since
reactivated my account and been able to post so I wasn't sure if that was
it. I never received an email or PM indicating that Id broken any of the
site rules, nor had I posted anything that to my knowledge was even close to
warranting a ban. I'm hopeful its just a mix up and my access will be
restored soon. If I have in fact been banned, I would just like to have the
piece of mind to know what exactly Id done to qualify myself to be banned?
I appreciate your attention to this matter and thank you for your time.

Will

THEIR RESPONSE
Hi Will,

Back in April you got into somewhat with some members (as well as a mod
here) and more recently it was reported by a fellow member that another
thread looks to be heading south as well. Upon investigation, it did seem
like it was, so were nipping the issue in the bud before it does. Nothing
against you or your truck Will, but we are a Dodge enthusiasts site and we
are not into flame wars here. A Dodge owner on a Toy site would cause the
same type of issues, no matter how lightly they were to thread..sad, but a
fact of life nonetheless.

Wishing you the best with the new ride!

Ron

My 2nd EMAIL in response to theirs...
Thanks for the reply Ron. I appreciate your tact and professionalism. I would
like to simply ask for a little clarification. I have done absolutely nothing
wrong. I admit to getting into a heated disagreement with a single member, who
made fun of me and mocked me first (if you’ll review the thread, you’ll find
that to be true unless he has since edited his posts), and I then defended
myself to the mod who edited my own post in April. I don’t dispute any of that.
Your now going to completely ban me from the site because some people "thought"
a thread I was involved in was "heading in the wrong direction" and "it did seem
like it"? So in essence, I’m being banned for absolutely nothing beyond others
speculation? After being a member of a site for 3+ years, having 1800 posts
(almost all contributing something) with very little postwhoring, and doing
absolutely nothing wrong beyond a one time disagreement, you are going to, in
good conscience, completely ban me from the site permanently with no warning or
second chance? Am I reading that correctly? So now that I own a Toyota, I am
no longer a vehicle enthusiast, and am only allowed to be a Toyota enthusiast?
Let me just say, that's a pretty poor way to conduct business. I mean no
disrespect to you, or any other members of the site, nor have I ever said
anything derogatory about anyone on the site in my 3+ years there. I'm sorry
you and your colleagues feel that since I own a Toyota, I no longer have the
right to be a member of your website. I hope you will reconsider your actions
in the future, and other members wont be held to such a double standard. I
thank you for your time and the explanation.

Will

I did nothing, and got banned for owning a Tundra. What are your thoughts, am I just not seeing it clearly, or what? Id appreciate any feedback.

Bro, get over it! Happens all the time. It not worth all the keystrokes you put into this thread. I'm a member there and recieved a warning when I posted a near naked fat woman. Oh well! Just go and sign up using another name.

Its not a big deal (and I copy pasted ), Im just baffled by the whole thing. I guess 3+ years and 1800 posts means nothing if you dont drive a Dodge anymore, even if youve done nothing wrong.

I just wanted to get some outside opinions to see if I was just seeing it wrong, or it was in fact, an unwarranted action.

Sounds like a site I wouldn't want to be a part of then, if they are gonna restrict you to what kind of vehicle you can own.
Move on and find a better site.

No, that's pretty well a load of dump. But hey, it's not all bad. If that's how they're going to be, then they don't need to have you as a member. Fock em if they can't take a joke, that's what I always say.
