I've got a friend with one. Spent plenty of time behind the wheel myself on road trips. Pretty cool truck but underpowered when stock. No modifications but he did have me pull the file off of it with HP Tuners...pedal calibration is absolutely horrible, so as soon as the warranty is up I'll likely be adjusting that. Fuel economy is ok. Mixed driving gets around 25-26mpg. On the highway at 75-80mph with a 4000lb load gets between 16-18mpg.

Yeah, I test drove a Z71 crew cab. Pretty cool little truck, has the torque down low, but definitely underpowered. Passing would be horrendous. Seems like it has some potential, I know there are some tuners out there & the S&B intake.

With my new job, driving alot more highway miles so the mileage claims are appealing, watching to see what comes up with it.

I thought about one as a DD. Way to expensive for what it is...

They are expensive for what they are.

i was wanting to look at an Eco Diesel as well, but I haven't been able to find any on the lots. Did they suspend building them?

The EPA suspended certification on the MY17 ecodiesels up until about a month ago pending results of their investigation. Should be for sale now.
