sucks kimbo got cut but he looked like *** last night.
Rua was a beast, hopefully a fight between him and the spider will come soon.
kos and gsp will be a snore fest i think, just like GSPs last 3 fights

 

i thought it was a good night of fights, here are my thoughts on it. long read...

Didnt seem lik Machida was out of shape to me, personally i think he was just hesitent and was trying to feel Rua out... Shogun came in as aggressive as last time but i think he knew the kind of power Machida possed and he new he was gonna be able to ge inside and land, and he did... if u watch te last one Shogun attacked and attacked but he did it from out of range via hi leg kicks and rushing in and out... i would LOVE to see Shogun and Anderson go at it, Dana recently said if Anderson beats Sonnen AND Belfort he'll have to vacate his beltand 185 to compete at 205 ...

Koscheck came in with the perfect game plan, Daley has NO wrestling Koscheck was a D1 champ; easy gameplan... i honestly think all the trash talk was just to get Daley thinking he was gonna it ther and stand with him... Daley is a FAWKING idiot for sucker punching Koscheck, sucker punched his way right out of the UFC...

Kimbo, eh... i liked him cuz of his attitude and for actually trying to improve adprogress as an actual MMArtist, but if he doesnt learn how to check leg kicks everyone will continue to take his legs out from under him... and seeing as how he has an ALREADY bad knee it will either be recnstructive surgery or learn to chck kicks which will only last for a couple mins in a fight...

Belcher Cote was an awesome fight, i knew that would be one of the more exciting fight of the night and i was. love watching Belcher fight, he's a really exciting fighter with great stand up, good ground game and tons of heart. both came in and through hands but Belcher definately got he best of him in the stand up, he fought tall and stayed out of Cote's range and away from that heavy HEAVY right hand...

Stout and Stephens was also a great fight, i personally just dont like Stephens. he's a exciting fighter with a couple hl KO's but i just dont like him, but i definately didnt think he got the unanimous decision. maybe a split decision but just the way Stephens throws i looks realy good in the eyes of the judges but Stout definately had the better krisper striking...

Doerkson Lawlor was another really exciting fight, Lawlor poured it on early in the fight and Doerkson basically took every shot he threw at him and even landed a couple heavy shots while he was a little stunned... great come back win, and Lawlor looked JUST LIKE Dan "The Beast" Severn(old skool UFC figher)...

I agree, Kimbo looked like ***... He got to train at some of the best camps and got put up against a UFC newb. If Kimbo couldn't pull it out of his *** to win this fight he is done. You have to look at the amount invested in him as a fighter and cut your losses. All he tried to do was dominate the ground by laying on top, no submission skills :nunchuk1:

Koscheck was just disappointing, and after GSP couldn't summit Hardy I'm not sure how gay the fight will be.

Why are the spike preliminaries always better than the fight card

 

Matt Mitrione is no pushover, although he may be new to the UFC which proves nothing. His leg kicks are brutal, and he has knock out power in his hands so its not like Kimbo had an easy fight with him. I dont think its Kimbo's cardio that got the better of him, he along with alot of others are in tip top shape. Its the breathing, alot of fighters get caught up in the fight and forget to breath at a supporting rate.

In the Machida vs Rua match they both looked good imho, Machida may have been bigger than before but still in shape, he just got caught with a glancing blow that was the beginning of the end for that fight

 

those leg kicks totally destroyed kimbo, after a kick he would drop his hands and make that "damn" face. mitrione could and should make a contender in the heavyweights, hate it for kimbo, but someone has to lose, and RAMPAGE better knock out Rashad

 

Going to Vegas for that one, I wonder if Rampage kept up the training while playing Mr. T. I just hope it goes a few rounds

 

I didn't like Kimbo at first, but his attitude is great. He's too old and won't be MMA materiel..most of us knew that from the beginning. After seeing Mitrione smash him on the stand up, hopefully those who whined about Roy Nelson beating Kimbo have the reality check of Kimbo not being good at stand up either. Roy Nelson>Mitrione>Kimbo

KOS had the right game plan..you never fight your opponent in their best discipline, unless your trying to prove something. The fake foul was dumb, it reminded me of a basketball player Daley is a moron for doing what he did, and he threw his career away.

I was expecting Shogun to come back with vengeance, and Machida to train like an animal to make sure 104 didn't happen again, and to see an excellent fight. Guess not. I want to see Anderson move to 205 permanently right now.. he's wasting his time @ 185. Sonnen is going to get tooled badly. Shogun is the only real competition left for Anderson, and IMO Anderson's better, but regardless it needs to happen.
