Default Anybody here buy Tax Liens?

Just wondering if anybody here was into this kind of investment. ROR for this kind of investment is about 15-18%. Not bad bad considering money market accts at banks yield < 5% which is a ******* joke since it gets wiped out with inflation?

I've done it for the past few years, it's pretty easy if your not a idiot, that being said I just shelled out another 15K in Tax Lean $$$ and I'm making an average of 14.8%, there are some risks but drive by the property your gonna buy the lein on and do some research into their past payment history. Yes it's a risk but if they go to foreclosure your getting your money even before the BANK. Your the first one to get paid in Florida. You can hold the note up to two years before you need to forclose on them so if you cover them for 3K dollars over 2 years at 14% that ain't bad. The worst you can do in FL is 5% which is still better the most CDS and money market accounts. Let me know if you want some advise or help. I'd like to see anyone make 14% in this economy and do it the legal way.
