Id rather not make another thread, so Is the black gel coat that comes on cowl hoods okay to stand up to weather. I am really thinking about ordering one in the next couple days. Id like to put it on with just the gel coat for now.

I have read about other companies that just paint their hoods and it will come off and rust. I am going to order a Goodmark hood.

Gel coat is fiberglass.

Steel, like a Goodmark, use a E-primer. I wouldn't ride on it w/o. painting. E-primer isn't something that's weather-resistant, it's more of a protector til it see paint. Like in the course of shipping. Beyond that, I wouldn't try to get away w/. it too long, IMO.

How do you guys like the difference? Should I make the tires wider?

Stock Width:







1 inch wider, close to flush with body:








I like them flush.
