Im really new to guns in general but I just wanted to see what everyone on here has and how they like it...Ive been doing some reading and finding pros and cons of each...Im still pretty confident on that RRA weapon I was looking at...
only thing thats holding me back is how often Ill use it...its nice to have for home defense and just to own one in general...there is a shooting range only a few minutes away from me but at .40 cents a round, its not exactly cheap to shoot...Im prolly gonna go to the range with my friend and fire a few of his guns and go from there...
thanks for the responses guys...lots of nice weapons you guys got!

If you don't think you're going to hang a bunch of tacticool stuff all over the rifle don't be afraid to buy a rifle with a fixed carry handle. Most people buy flat top rifles to make mounting optics easier but if you don't plan on buying a reflex sight a rifle with a fixed carry handle will be just fine and they're cheaper.

Here is mine...Olympic Arms 6.8mm Rem SPC

Here is the difference between the 115gr. 6.8mm (left) and the 55gr. 5.56mm. Ballistics were designed to be identical to the 5.56 and the 7.62, with more kinetic energy than both; more weight than a 5.56 and more speed then a 7.62. I love the round, just not the price, anywhere from $1 to $1.50 per round.

Gotta bump since I put a few new goodies on my rifle. I installed a drop in quad rail, a Magpul flip up rear sight, a cheap forward grip and my TLR-1. The grip is temporary until I decide on a better grip. I want to keep the TLR-1 for my sidearm so I'll probably be installing a Viking Tactical light mount with my Fenix TK11 in the near future.
