Has anyone ever tried to use Ancestory.com? I am in the application stage for Sons of Confederate Veterans. Me and my uncle are going to a meeting for the camp to access our geneolgoy for the war but I wanted something a little more in depth.

Any help would be appreciated

 

Its a fishing loop. They give you some info then want you to pay for the rest.. I know good **** isn't free most of the times.

 

So you pretty much pay for the basics and the in depth stuff you just have to dig and pay more for?

 

They will give back maybe to your grandfathers fam, orgin, but to get indepth stuff you will have to pay. Atleast that is what they wanted me to do.. So yah you will have to pay if your looking for stuff back that far..

Yea all I could find was my grandfathers WWII enlistment papers...
