If it were me, I'd go with the TBSS because anything that's broke, I can fix. The BMW on the other hand, German cars can kiss my ***.. I absolutely hated working on any German car. But if you don't mind forking up the money and having other places do the repairs whether it was the TBSS or the BMW, go with the BMW then.

You didn't actually say why so it's kind of hard to respond to that.

Normally that would be a plus for me, but I don't really have the time, interest, or garage to work on my cars myself past very basic issues. My parents live about 20 miles south of me so I do have some ability, but I'm honestly a bit tired of fixing things myself so I'm okay with paying someone at this point.

The interior on the G8 just seems too big and bulky. It reminds me of my dad's Expedition for some reason. The 335i is obviously smaller, but it feels a bit more sport oriented to me.

As far as performance, $2000 will get you a heck of a lot more with a 335i. We're talking apples to oranges in that case since the N54 is twin turboed. Plus, the BMW will kill it handling wise.
You talk about modding but you also talk about warranty so I'm confused.

The 335s are too damn small. I looked at getting one for the wife for the same reasons you are but its the size of a civic and the wife already has one of those so I passed. I'd drive your truck another year and buy a cadillac V2 for mid 30s. Itll stomp mudhole in thay 335 in all aspects.

Dinan Tune. It's not cheap, but it won't void BMW warranties. The other option is the JB4 Burger Tune which is easily removable. BMW Performance Tuners & Chips - BurgerTuning.com

I won't do much more than that, but that's a pretty easy way to put down around 350rwhp/350rwtq in a small compact sedan.

Money isn't the biggest issue. I can afford much more car if I wanted to, but I want something I can enjoy that still looks professional and can sell in 2-3 years.

EDIT- I should also mention that my truck has been mostly sitting for the past 2 years. The only reason I'm driving it is because my Infiniti m45 was totalled by a girl about a month ago.

eh its just my response to anything that rivals cadillac since my dad works for them lol. but i do have to say that 40% of caddy's ats buyers are moving over from the 335i. the commercials you see of it driving all over taking turns like crazy, to be honest i could see it do that, it handles well, fit and finish is great. if i have to say anything bad they could have changed the turbo a bit on the 2.0 motor, it runs outta steam around 5500 if you manual shift it to 7k, but it pulls pretty good other than that. my parents have a middle of the road one its really nice. it is a smaller car though so you might miss the room of something fullsize.

I've ridden in an e46 and e90, both 325i sedans. They handle well for sure. But god help you if you have to sit in the back. Seats are hopefully better in the 335i. And they rode like a bag of ***. Haven't been in an ss.

I looked at the ATS, but ultimately even with the turbo 2.0, it can't touch the performance of the N54. Even the newer N55 engine can't touch the performance of the N54 with just a tune and basic bolt ons.

It's pretty tough to beat making 450/475 rwhp/rwtq in a car that weighs 3600 pounds with a tune and boltons that cost under $2000.

Check out the torque curve too. 450+ rwtq from about 2700rpm to 5300 rpm

I'm only 5'10", but it wasn't bad sitting in the back seat. In all honesty, there were only about 5 that people sat in the back of my m45, but I'd rather have it and not need it than the other way around.

the ats turbo 2.0 is the mid range engine, dont forget about the n/a 3.6 v6. stock vs. stock the ats is pretty even with the bmw. but your right with the ease of tuning since it is a single turbo makes for a lot greater output. i have been told the ats will have a v-series but not the powertrain. you would figure the twin turbo 3.6 would be a blast, but there will be room for a v8 shoehorned in there, so you could see maybe a smaller v8 if not the new corvette motor in there. either car though you cant go wrong. if your driving a lot get the bmw, but you may miss the fullsize feel and wish you had gotten the blazer.
