Default advice/discussion of selling a used car

Ive posted on every site I am a member of for up to 2 weeks now, and have only had 1 serious offer on 1 vehicle(the jeep) im trying to sell, yet it was still 1500 less than I wanted. Obviouslly I want to sell them for more than trade in value, is it going to be impossible with these gas prices right now? My hopes were to have them sold by the end of june, then move to florida and buy me that 2wd TBSS I want, but with the way things are going I think my dream will be shattered =\

any advice on howto advertise or get more attention? also anyone having any lucky selling their "gas guzzlers" and if so did you have to let it go for less than trade in? if not then howd you do it and how long did you advertise?

Put it on EBay with a reserve (minimum amount you would accept). List it as a 10-day auction starting on Thursday night or Friday morning so you get two full weekends for people to notice it and think about bidding on it.

It costs $40 to list a vehicle on EBay, and another $40 if you sell it. Pretty good deal if you ask me. I sold my last vehicle on EBay and got what I wanted out of it.

ebay might be your best bet at this point. Its amazing how many ppl are willing to buy based on pictures before a test drive... a lot of people feel safe now with ebay. It also takes the hassel out of car shopping if someone is looking for a used car... looking it up online is easy.

I think autotrader or something of that sort has online listings now... i'm willing to bet you'll get a better bite if you sell it online at either ebay or an online auto trader type deal.
