I just got done watching it and thought it was pretty good. they put a lot of thought into the ending.

 

One of my favorites.

 

I thought it was pretty good. But not as good as it was made out to be. Bale was supposed to be a sniper and never sniped anyone.

True that was kinda weird. I think I remember crowe saying he enjoyed talking to bale, it was right before he killed the old guy. I think maybe the reason he liked him was because he didn't understand him at all. He didn't understand why he lived in the middle of no were on a dead farm, didn't understand why he didn't provide better for his wife, why he was putting his life on the line for $200, why he wouldn't take much more money to let him go etc. Who knows, good movie tho. He didn't really protect Bale until the end (Crowe started to understand/learn everything about Bale at the end), the fight with the Indians was to save himself, the fight with the tunnelers was to save himself.
