my gf's mom has a 2006 Dodge Magnum, the car starts and everything, no check engine lights or anything like that but it wont shift out of park. we tried disconnecting the battery for about 30 minutes to try to maybe reset whatever is keeping it from shifting out of park but still nothing. does anyone know what might be causing this?

and dont give me some **** like "it's because its a dodge" or "should have bought a chevy" its not my car (or it would be a chevy) and im just trying to help them out. thanks

Neutral safety switch or brake light switch.

the brake lights come on so i dont think its the brake light switch. where is the neutral safety switch on these things? can i over ride it or something so she can get to work tomorrow morning?
