TOTQ Winner ! 4th Qtr. 2013 mongooseboy000
Congratulations to mongooesboy000
First and foremost thanks for all of your votes. It is an honor to be selected as the TOTQ, however none of this could not have been done without you guys. Either the private PM's the dumb questions asked and having the answers and resources to the parts I needed, you guys were there. I have made some really good friends out of this forum and for that I thank you.
Now, Off to the Truck. The truck is an 08 silverado 1500 cew cab with the puny 4.8 V8. I bought December 24, 2008 for 20k out the door with 2.6 miles on the odometer. From there I immediately started modding into what I thought was cool. 26" DUB Bomber 6, Flowmasters and a Hypertech. This was all done by November 2009.
After an 8 month deployment I installed 2 12's a kenwood dash and some subwoofers. The Truck was then dropped 4/6 with a belltech drop kit. (652sp) December 2010
Truck look good but was slow. I ended up adding 4.10's headers a 215/222 cam and a blackbear tune. March 2011
The truck now looked and sounded good but I got tired of the big rims and rough ride. So I re did the setup. I sold the 26's, bought TBSS replicas, added the molded roll pan and modified the stock rear wing, and got rid of the chrome accents April 2011.
Now the Truck looked, sounded, and drove good. It made 326 to the wheels on a CAM tune converter headers intake and full exhaust.
Right as I finished the makeover I was called to go out on another deployment. What I didnt know was that it would be 2 back to back 8 monthers. so the truck was being watched by a close friend for about 2 years after all said and done.
April 2013, I was on my way back from deployment and had about a month left. Being that i was gone for so long, I went all out.
New Cam, LS9 Gaskets, ARP Studs, and some Headwork. 80e swap, New converter, and a KB racing T72 intercooled turbo kit. Truck was completed May 2013, hours before the Truckin Throwdown event.
Shortly after, the stock G80 took a crap so I installed a Truetrac, TA Diff Cover and is currently where truck is at now. August 2013

The most recent mods include a bigger turbo. Turbonetics 78/68 turbo. Once I get traction bars slicks meth and a retune i will update numbers. Thanks again guys.
