TBSS moddify direction?
I have a 2006 TBSS as a DD that I would like to mod, although I have no idea which way to go. Currently I have PS longtubes and 3" back to a borla xr1. Would anyone have some guidance on the direction I should take keeping it a DD? I've never really messed with LS series engines. I stepped up from a 2012 Genesis Coupe. This TBSS is a whole different beast.

Kept as a DD, I'd be happy with 550-600hp. Nothing too drastic. Since I really haven't messed around with LS series engines, I'm not sure how much it would take to get me to that goal.

4l80 and stall will be first on the list, your trans will go don't let others convince you that it will hold.
Maggie's are the tried and true bolt on no other mods necessary for reliable 500whp 11 sec truck. I personally have a D1 but went through a **** ton of other changes before I got there. You will need to address oiling issues with a minum of pcm pickup tube or better yet C6 pan conversion. Once you start going turbo route there are either setups that are marginal at best like the STS or a full blown custom setup which usually runs $$$$. Also a good rear suspension setup will do wonders for ride quality and consistent launches.

The different pick up tube looks like its very close to what comes in our trucks or in almost anythign with a normal pan... I wonder fi that would be a cheaper fix. Maybe overfill the engine slightly to make sure there is better coverage even when it sloshes.
Why they didnt go with a dry sump on these is beyond me... this oil pan and 4wd system is seriously engineered and I have a hard time believing the dry sump would even be more expensive... not to mention the obvious gains that can be had as well as safety.

So does Grizzly have a AWD or a 2WD? A modded pan would be on the list if AWD and a c6 pan would be on the list if 2WD. For the power you want I wouldn't worry about upgrading the tranny to a 80e unless you were 2wd then I would think about it. A modded 70e will do just fine if your AWD. If you have a AWD I would highly recommend up grading the engine cross member to a LC32 Cross Member!! I have a ton more room on the back side of the Motor/Diff. Electric Fan goes with out even mentioning to get rid of the clutch fan drag. Then I would keep the motor stock and do a Maggie charger to get in your power goals...
