Default TBSS 586/597 Rear Wheel

I know a few folks over here are following my TBSS build. Here are the numbers from the dyno today.

Great numbers bro!

I wonder how long the engine will hold at that power level.

I wasn't, but I'd sure like to know the details.....maybe you could post some of the build specs in here for those of us not familiar

it is a custom cam I had ground, it is stock heads, 9lbs if boost, 16 degrees of timing. There was a lot more there, but it needed to be tranny safe, we are still really pushing the tranny too hard. It made this on pump gas without a hint of detonation.

ok so your running psi on pump gas??? not race. Man i dont get it with almost 11.1 compression and 9psi dont you need to run race gas??

thats insane pump gas 9psi boost.

not really, the maggied GTO's and c6's are making 9 with a pully on pump gas. There are a lot of variables. The cam is a huge variable. It was setup for exactly for this purpose. The gauge is reading 9 which is putting it into over boost mode and cutting it by half until the wastegate drops it below 7PSI. At WOT though it it constantly in overboost mode. That means it is probably running at 4.5-5 consistently at WOT. That is why 9 is acceptable in this instance. Thank goodness for very smart electronics. Tuning it without a very good electronic boost controller would not have been fun. Now if they would just put an engineer in the box to program it for you things would be great.

hum the maggie on my tbss they said anything after 7 psi boost you need race gas? oh well good run. take it to the track. that tbss on the 150 shot we are guessing makes at least 500/500 with his mods. But 150 shot right off the line makes the torque numbers jump right up. Im interested to see what you run at the track.

good deal, from the other posts it looks like you have twin turbochargers?
Very good power with 16deg and stock heads!

Norcal: You can run high-ish boost with high-ish CR with a cam designed to keep high cylinder pressures in check
