Removing TBSS fan with no air tools
#1
We installed another one of our beta fan harnesses/kits on a 07 TBSS last night.
Anyway, I never liked hitting the nut with a air chisel so I decided to try something different on this one.
All you have to do is pull the intake plumbing off, loosen the belt and slide the belt torwards the front of the waterpump pulley. at that point you can grab the drivers side of the waterpump pulley with a 1.5 inch C clamp. You don't have to have a lot of torque on this, just snug it up.
After you got the pulley secured you can take a wrench (I used a big adjustable wrench) to loosen the nut. It really doesn't require much torque at all and unless you really crank down with a huge C clamp you can't damage the pulley.
