Default MAF wiring.

Just wondering if somebody with a TBSS could take a look at there MAF wiring. My wife got a 2007 TBSS black on black. Sweet ride. Somebody in the past has messed with the MAF wiring... Not sure why. Anyway it shifts really had so I hooked up HPtuners and noticed the MAF wasnt reading anything. I took the MAF out of my 04 silverado and hooked it up to the TBSS. THe MAF still doesnt read anything. Thats when I found the jacked up wiring harness for the MAF. Theres two black,a pink ,a tan and a yellow wire going to the MAF. Theres also a Black wiring coming out of the same harness but i cant figure out where it goes. Heres a picture...

The tan wiring going to the MAF was cut into. The tan from the MAF was hooked the unknow black wire from the harness. The other end of the tan wire from the harness was grounded to the cylinder head. I tryed hooking the tan wires back together and grounding the unknown black wire to the cylinder head. No luck... The maf was still not reading... If somebody with a TBSS could help me out I would really appreciate it!

There are only 5 wires coming out of the MAF, the black wire doesnt belong there.Hook the tan wire back together and start chasing the harness until you find the rest of the problem.

I wonder what the black wire is suppost to go to? As you can see in the picture the MAF harness comes out of another harness( for fuel injectors and ect.) I tryed to ground the black wire to the head but it didnt change anything. There is already one black wire ground to the head so I guess it isnt a ground wire....

All solid black wires in the harness are ground and there a many, just like all dark pink wires are +12 switched and all orange are +12 constant...

The tan wire that was cut should have been for the IAT sensor in the MAF. (grounding it makes it default the IAT to -18* making it run richer, some people think richer makes more power...) The yellow wire should be the signal wire from the MAF. The light pink should be 5+ ref for the MAF. Both the black wire going to the MAF should be ground, one for the MAF, one for the IAT.
