Well this Saturday the Kooks 1 3/4 catted Y are going on then poss. next week depending on work schedule I'm slipping in a VRX-3 from Vengeance

Should be interesting. Before the flaming starts as to why I opted for a conservative smaller cam is for the numbers the 3 produces under the curve..which these pigs need! I wasn't too concerned about what she'll make at 6400RPM vs. what she puts down at 3K RPM. I'll get some numbers up and clips a little down the road.

When i do it over again my list will go something like this:
Ported intake mani
3" ypipe
Ported/coated exhaust mani's
Efan
Convertor
homebrew 4" CAI
cam
Tune

All that should produce a solid 12sec runner in a 2wd

 

Well the Kooks went on today... all I can say is F*CK glad I did them, what a quality piece of artwork. the sound..... is beyond description it so effin loud. I'm running just the resonator with the LT's it's amazing.

I'd never waste time porting those stock cast POS manifolds and there so heavy it's retarded. A solid inch is lost on each side though... you can see the carbon line on the manifold...poor match to the exhaust ports.

So current exhaust is Kooks 1 3/4 catted Y to stock resonator and it's one LMF!

The man in brown came with gifts...

Headers are on. Cam/springs/rods are all here but I'm trying to squeeze 2 days in for the install.

Well cam install kicks off tomorrow afternoon. Shooting to get it fired up sunday night.

 

i have lt1z cam from our board love it. Ill be at pinks in 2 weeks taking my wifes should be running mid 11s

By no means a guide or install procedures.... merely just me having some fun and some pictures of a few major steps along the way....

Would have had it done in 2 days but my dumb-*** totally forgot I had a single bolt cam and needed the 3 bolt cam gear/tensioner. WOW way to over look a step huh? Figured that one just as we slipped the stock cam out and pulled the Vengeance cam from the closet... my reaction was priceless.

Tune kicks off on saturday and i'm sure a FLT trans is in short order....
